Missions at

First Methodist

Here at First Methodist we call our Missions Ministry:

Operation Love Your Neighbor (OLYN).

Our missions can be categorized into four emphases:

LOCAL

Our church is committed to meet the needs of those in our community. We partner with more than 20 non-profit organizations in Indian River County that minister to families and children who are underserved and in need of God's love and compassion.

MISSION TRIPS

Our domestic and international partnerships gives us the opportunity to love and serve our neighbors across the globe. Our current International Partner is El Ayudante in Honduras.

SCHOOLS

Schools are the biggest mission field in the city. We come alongside schools to meet the needs of children in them, from food insecurity to greeting, and student-led bible studies. Our hope is also to meet the needs of faculty and staff, serving in whatever capacity needed.

DISASTER

RELIEF

We partner with disaster relief organizations in order to provide rapid and compassionate care to communities and individuals that been effected by hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, and more.

Interest Meeting : Sunday, November 8 at 12 PM in Wesley Hall

The trip is for people of all ages! We’re bringing a group to Brunswick, Georgia, to help a community rebuild after some vicious forest fires. We will be helping in rebuilding some homes, but we will also be engaging the community through feeding programs and community outreach. This is a trip for the whole family! Join us on November 8th after church at noon in Wesley Hall to hear about this Spring Break Mission Trip.

Our church is committed to responding when a natural disaster occurs around us. Whether it’s our community or someone else’s, we want to be the hands and feet that enter into the disaster, helping people rebuild and recover. We work closely with our partner, Faith Responders, to identify areas that need help after natural disasters. Follow the link below to be added to the email list for Disaster Recovery. You will be the first to know when a need arises.
